Kiddie Camp

Ages 3 ½ to young 5

DATES:  June 29^th  through August 21^st, 2009

HOURS:   Full Day: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. $70 per day              Half Day: 8:30 to 1:00 $45 per day

EXTENDED HOURS : Early drop off @ 8 am and late pick up @4:30, 5, or 5:30 available for an extra charge

ENROLLMENT: is for 3,4, or 5 days per week, for a minimum of 2 consecutive weeks to allow for continuity in program planning.  You may sign up for as many weeks as you like as long as openings are available. Enrollment is limited – you will be notified if your child is put on a wait list. Preference is given to families who are currently enrolled in our pre school and/or attended the Play Center during the summer of 2008.

PHILOSOPHY: We want our campers to be active participants, learn new skills, have a sense of belonging & security and to acquire confidence and self-esteem. We also believe in the importance of special friendships and memorable times - at Sharon Country Day, “We Are Family.”

PROGRAM: These young campers are exposed to, and participate in, a wide variety of activities, geared specifically to their age and capabilities including: swimming, arts & crafts, music, dance, games & relays, Audubon Arc, Native American, gymnastics, & beginning skill development in soccer, basketball, & newcombe

 DAILY RED CROSS INSTRUCTIONAL SWIM: The children are taught by our Red Cross Certified Waterfront Safety Instructors and Lifeguards, who are supervised by Stuart Hershman, the Waterfront Director. The swimming area is very safe with a sandy bottom and designated for beginner & non swimmers. There are Red Cross swim instructors, Lifeguards, and Kiddie Camp staff present at all times with the children during their swim.

GENERAL SWIM (Full Day children) A fun, non instructional swimming period , supervised by Red Cross Instructors/Lifeguards & Kiddie Camp Staff, in a separate area for beginners/non swimmers.
