Our 5,6,& 7 year old boys and girls have their own special facilities and play areas including a basketball court, soccer field, t-ball area, and playground. Boys and girls are in separate groupings, by grade levels, and each group has their own cabin (home away from home) and adjacent picnic tables for lunch and mid afternoon ice cream break.
These young campers are exposed to, and participate in, a wide variety of activities and programs, geared specifically to their age and skill capabilities. Counselor supervision is extremely close as staff are with the children every step of the way from the moment they arrive in the morning until they leave at the end of the day. Staff ratio is a minimum of one counselor to four campers.
Activities for this age grouping include: swimming, arts & crafts, archery, music, dance, t-ball, basketball, newcombe, games & relays, fishing, ropes course, Audubon Arc, Native American, soccer, gymnastics, parachute play, pillo polo, and games.
Within the framework of the overall camp program and with staff guidance and support, these young campers are encouraged to participate in all of our activities and programs, with the emphasis always on sportsmanship and fair play and at all times providing them with a fun and happy experience.
