Camp History

Sharon Country Day began in 1963, 50 years ago this year in Walpole Massachusetts. Founders Charlie and Corrine Hershman, who along with their children, Stuart, Craig and Rhonda, still own and operate the camp today. Their long history includes a tradition of teaching children about their natural environment & surroundings, while at the same time developing the skills that enable each child to grow and develop both socially & physically.

Charlie and Corrine’s dream to bring the experience of an overnight camp close to home is exactly what the’ve accomplished here at SCDC.
