Grounds & Facilities

Sharon Country Day Camp has been blessed by nature with 30 acres of woodlands, nature trails, streams, and a beautiful spring fed pond.  These resources have been a great asset, enabling our campers to develop a better understanding and appreciation for the natural environment that surrounds them.

In the shaded, wooded area of camp are located our roomy, bright, and airy cabins complete with screened casement & picture windows. Every cabin is equipped with individual cubbies for campers’ belongings. Boys and girls cabins are in separate areas, and modern bathroom facilities are provided in large private buildings.

Our new modern, air conditioned main building, houses a spacious , well equipped Arts & Crafts room, Camp Newspaper, Office, & Health Care Center.  Our Health Care center is staffed at all times by a Registered Nurse who has had years of experience with children in both a school and camp setting.  Our goal has always been to maintain the highest of standards and to insure a healthy, safe, clean, and accident free environment.

The 6 acre activity field consists of a tennis court, 3 basketball courts (Regulation-Intermediate-Junior), softball and baseball  diamonds, soccer fields , t-ball area,  whiffleball at “C Stadium”, newcombe and volleyball courts, & a track and field area. Our Archery, Native American, Dance, and Ropes/ Adventure activities each have their own conveniently located space. In addition, a state of the art 40x80 all weather tent provides a wonderful place for our Theatre Arts and Gymnastics program, as well as our rainy day activities including carnivals, talent shows, movies, and group games.

Our 3 acre pond is the centerpiece and crown jewel of our camp property. This multi purpose facility allows us to offer to all of our campers a full range of aquatic and recreational activities.
